KPOP: I'm Fine by BTS ๐Ÿ’š

SORRY FOR THE LATE POST. Was just a busy week. I'll try to keep pumping out content. Ok so anyways, excuse over, last post I talked about how serendipity was my favorite BTS song. Was it amazing? HECK YES. But i had to downgrade it to 4.9 because IM FINE IS ACTUALLY THE GREATEST THING EVER. Here are my thoughts. So as I usually start off, I'll talk about the background music. So I mean first off, I love the contrast between emotional in the beginning and straight up party song at the end. Like when I gave this a first listen, I'm like, oh it's another "Serendipity" type song. Like it had those amazing vocals and stuff. But I got into the song and I love the contrast. I just find myself emotionally singing the beginning and jamming out the ending parts. As for the first verse, it is cool it starts out with a "Save Me" type instrumental. Makes for a good performance. But anywho there is this SMOOTH transition from solid vocals and slow song, to lik

We interrupt our week of BTS to give you a quick small channel shoutout. This one goes out to I think the most high quality Sports channel out there: SB Nation. The thing I like about SB Nation is the quality of their videos. And I really think that's what makes them stand out from other channels. Like they don't just take random in game footage and talk over it, but they spend days upon days combing through the internet for random facts to tell an amazing story. And the production is insanely good. They have this one series that just came out called Foul Play, chronicling the story of how Ole Miss payed some guys to go to their school. Like, who the heck even cares about Ole Miss, but the way they portrayed the story got me captivated about some random college for 2 hours. And did I mention the quality? Some of the videos (like Foul Play) are scary good, like ESPN 30 for 30 good, while other videos have cool animations and other graphics. One last thing I will say is that

Alright here comes a FAT review of another song from BTS's full album. This was going to be my last review from the album, but as I casually listened to the other songs, turns out, yeah, there's a reason why they are so popular. More reviews to come later on next week, so please be on the lookout for those. Anyways, lets get into the review. Alright so I'm gonna get the main, overall bit out of the way real quick. Let's talk about how freaking amazing Jimin's voice is. Like holy heck, I... just never knew I guess. The vocals in this song really blow me away. Jimin's voice is just so pure and you get that you know good, like passionate? vibe from his vocals (not quite sure of the word, but it was just good). I could go on and on, but just know they are actually amazing. In the beginning, I really love the simplicity of the instrumental. Like it just allows Jimin's voice to shine. But as we get into the song, especially around 30 seconds, the beat changes,

KPOP: 8/30/18 BTS Save Me + I'm Fine (M Countdown)

Alright so wow this has been a busy week. I'll probably end up throwing my serendipity review tomorrow. I was going to post it Tuesday but I figured it is such a good song I really wanna give it a good review. Anyways for Army who doesn't know about this video (it did come up like 17 hours ago) I just wanted to high light it. This is BTS's M Countdown performance of Save Me and I'm Fine. Now if you haven't listened to I'm Fine, all you really need to know is that it sort of has the same intro as Save Me, like you know that little high pitched melody. And it was actually freaking awesome to see the transition of these two radically different songs. The comment in my opinion really make the video. Some are straight forward with their opinions : "that was the smoothest transition I've ever seen", while others are more comedical, such as my favorite "iBigHit has been planning this performance since 1750". Like I really do wonder what th

YT: 8/26/18 Shoutout Sunday #4: Pleasant Green

Week number 4, sort of an in between post between the BTS hype, probably will throw up a review of Serendipity or something tomorrow, but today is SHOUTOUT SUNDAYYYYY woo get hyped. Anyways, today's weekly shoutout is to one of my favorite channels: Pleasant Green. Sounds like a dumb name, but bare with me. This guy's name is Ben and his channel is about exposing scammers. But here's the thing, it's not like those videos you see already where the footage is super grainy and the audio is awful. His videos are like SUPER high quality. Like the camera is sharper than a knife and I'm pretty sure he uses an external mic because it is very quality. Past the quality of the content, the content itself is SUPER entertaining. He has two series, one of which is called "Lie-beria". It's basically about this guy named Joel who originally messaged him trying to scam him, but through the series, we see that Joel is not a scammer, but is just in need of some hel

KPOP: 8/24/18 "Idol" by BTS ๐Ÿ’š

They're backkkkkkk and boy did they live up to the hype of the new album. Like actually though, 26 songs is insane. Sure there are some repeats in there but more than half of it is new content (I think, a real count has not been done yet). Am I the biggest fan of BTS? Not really. But it's hard not to like their new song "Idol". Alright so I want to start off talking about the instrumental. Now call me crazy for looking so deep into this, but I just like how the aspects of the instrumental just make it so unique. Like there's whistles, animals, a funky electronic beat, like this isn't the BTS we are used to hearing. But in my opinion I think it was done on purpose, to sort of set the scene for the song if you will. A reading of the english captions has led me to believe that the message of the song is that, well in the words of Jimin "you can't stop me from loving myself". I dunno I just thought that was cool. Into to the song, I like how RM,

KPOP: 8/21/18 (TBT) Oh Boy by Red Velvet๐Ÿ’š

WOOO first official throw back tuesday !!! Alright so I've been waiting a while to do a review on this song because I absolutely love it. Was gonna do it on a fun friday but BTS is literally coming back this friday so I couldn't waste it. Anyways just to kinda start of this song, this is part of Red Velvet's first full ish album, titled "Red". Now recently with the release of the perfect red velvet and all that many people have not liked summer magic for Red Velvet not being more "velvet", which in my opinion is like kind of shocking. Obviously I love the velvet side of red velvet but I like practically grew up on Red Flavor so I'm a fan of the red. Anyways, just some opinion. This song is also the most massive bop I have every seen. Like the beat is insanely catchy and you just want to bop your head along to it. It changes up a little but it keeps this really cool and chill vibe to it that is pretty nice. The lyrics also do a good job keeping th
