KPOP: 6/26/18 BAAM by Momoland 💚
So at last, momoland has come back. Ever since they've been destroying the charts with Bboom Bboom they seem to be milking the same concept of this upbeat party song, because Baam gives a lot of the same vibes that Bboom Bboom did. There's a huge dance break at the start of the song, there's a dance vibe to it, and I dunno I think there's also a little rap section after the chorus? I dunno well here are my thoughts.
Pre Chorus: So everything before the chorus is pretty upbeat. Again, like Bboom Bboom there's a massive dance break in the beginning, which obviously watching it in shows it's really cool but when listening to it during a road trip it can get a little hard to deal with. This is a huge party song, and it has a nice dance vibe to it. There's also a lot going on, like it seems like multiple people are singing at once (not at once but there's never a pause in lyrics or whatever it kinda comes at you. Take it how you want).
Chorus: The thing I really like about the chorus is that there's this triplet vibe to it, like when they say "bam bam bam" it has a nice swing feel to it that makes it really fun to listen to. Again, party song so it has that upbeat vibe. And of course like in Bboom Bboom there's another dance break in the chorus (I guess they just love their dancebreaks)
Post Chorus: AND JUST LIKE IN BBOOM BBOOM THERES A RAP SECTION THAT DOeSNT FIT THE VIBE. Although I will say I did enjoy this one much better. It blended in with the rest of the song a little better, and there's this part where Daisy goes all Man's not Hot with the lyrics which was pretty cool. The second verse and chorus is pretty much the same as the first verse and chorus. There's a little part towards the end (the bridge?) where it kinda seems like it is dying off and then they hit you with one more chorus. I dunno not the biggest fan of that but it did lead to a good outro I guess.
Final Thoughts: This would be an amazing song but seeing as it is a big copy of Bboom Bboom it doesn't impress me that much. Would still recommend a listen though.
