Another Update Post

Ok, I'm sorry that I'm making another one of these, it's just that I didn't realize I'd learn two huge pieces of information within 8 hours of posting the last one. So the first major thing is that Keeper of the Lost Cities Author Shannon Messenger has featured me (and other AMAZING MG blogs which if you want to find great books, you need to check them out) on her blog. The link to her website is  here . Also, don't be surprised if you see a short interview with her, so if you want to ask Shannon Messenger a question, comment below and I'll choose one! This thing to me is a little more exciting (crazy right?) and I have to take book club member Aiden for suggesting it to me way back. So quick flashback, Aiden asked if there was a way to make him co-member of the blog, where he can post/look at the views/ moderate comments/ etc. And I'm like "Well unless I give you my email and password, no way". But then, 6 months later, last night I looked

Plans for the Summer

So this post is EXTREMELY late, and honestly it was only because I just thought of doing it thirty minutes ago. I haven't really done an "update" post in a while. So throughout the summer, there's a bunch of projects I plan to carry out (a lot are based on request) which include (but obviously aren't limited to): SS#4 Prediction (It's kind of a tradition now) Reviews! Not just more of them but a new format.  Finishing the Crossover/ working on the Erica POV/ and maybe new stuff Introducing "pilots" of a couple of new weekly segments which could occur. Interviews with people! Daily posts in the month of July Yes, you read that last bullet point correctly. Throughout the month of July, I will be making DAILY POSTS!!! And no, it's not like last year where at 11:59 PM it's some lame update, no these are legit, time-consuming reviews/stories/new segments and more! This is to thank everybody for 10000 VIEWS! I'd never thought

Crossover Fanfic Part 14!

“What exactly are we going to do?” I asked Erica. It was noon, and after our conversation with Teddy and Summer, we’d changed into somewhat normal tourist clothing, and now we were standing in the main pavilion right in front of Hippo River. Alexander and Cyrus had to go fetch everyone back at the hotel an hour ago before they would leave an expedition into SPYDER headquarters. How they qould explain Erica and I missing would remain a mystery. “Well we had to get rid of them some way. We’ve got to figure out what SPYDER’s plan here is exactly” “Got any ideas?” I asked her. “Just as many as you” She replied. We started with a quick laser scan of all the buildings just to conclude SPYDER wasn’t planning on blowing up the park or something. We didn’t find any explosives in between the walls, so then we moved onto the dolphin exhibit. We got into the dome like structure using the back door, and we glanced around the same maintenance area behind the tank with the sewage pipe a

Ok, so yes this book has been reviewed by fellow personal book club member Aiden (applaud now) and I guess I finally decided to read the book, which has made a surprising amount of people happy. Summary : So Sophie Foster is not normal. At all. She is insanely smart, she's about to graduate from her senior year. And she's only twelve. Plus, when she was only 5, and she hit her head, she somehow grew the ability to hear other people's thoughts. But on a museum trip, another kid named Fitz approaches her and tells her something shocking: she's an elf . Now, we're not talking Santa's helpers, because in reality, elves live in the lost cities ( Atlantis/Shangri- la/Etc.), can travel super quickly via light beams, are obviously insanely smart, and have secret superpowers (like the ability to inflict pain or even feel your emotions). After a crazy trip where Fitz takes Sophie to travel to the Lost Cities, she is forced by Alden, Fitz's dad, to give up her human l

To Catch a Cheat By Varian Johnson

After I'd read  The Great Greene Heist , I had to pick up the second novel. Fortunately, during my next library visit, even though it was released just a couple months ago, it was on the shelves. And this book did not disappoint. Summary:  Jackson Greene, who allegedly has retired from committing cons, has been accused of flooding the entire school. Despite his pleas, the administration still believes he committed the crime, but because they don't have stone-cold evidence, he is not punished yet. But then, two kids named Rob and Thom attempt to blackmail him, when they reveal that they have video evidence of Jackson and his friends sneaking into the school and flooding it. They plan on turning the video into the principal unless Jackson can pull off another con, and help them steal Mrs. Clark's history final exam and get the answers. Jackson, shockingly, complies to this offer, and gets to work with his crew, trying to figure out how the heck they could break into the sch

Crossover Fanfic Part 13!

My instincts and my reactions helped me escape into the whole as soon as I heard the alarm go off. We all piled into the hole except for Teddy, who was screwing around under the desk. Erica and I glanced at each other because we realized one thing: He couldn’t survive a second with SPYDER. Suddenly we saw him flying down the hole out of nowhere. Erica stuck her arms out and caught up, to the delight of Teddy. Summer closed the hatch and we ran. Alexander may not know how to throw a punch but he was definitely in shape to run. Cyrus held his own against the four kids, which thankfully we were all in shape. We made it back to the dolphin tank in a little over five minutes, and then it took us another fifteen long, tired minutes to get to JJ’s office, which was thankfully empty. I was breathing heavily, leaning on Summer who honestly didn’t care. After a couple of minutes to catch our breath, I spoke up “Teddy, what the heck did you risk your life for” I panted for a second,

So this was the book I got for book speed dating at the North Texas Teen Book Festival (which by the way was insanely fun) and I even got it signed by the author Varian Johnson, who is more famous I guess for writing the spirit animals books. It's really a great read that you have to enjoy. Summary : Jackson Greene is known around his middle school as this big con artist who pulls off these crazy acts such as the Mid-Day PDA or the Blitz at the Fitz (which really is hard to explain and you'll only get it if you read the book) But after the Mid-Day PDA, he basically swore to stop committing cons...until he learns that Keith Sinclair is running for Student Council president. See, after Gabriela De La Cruz's only competition dropped out, Keith put in the forms to run, and word is that he's getting his dad to pay the principal so he can rig the election. Apparently, this private high school all Keith's brothers have gone to wants "extraordinarily academic and ext

The Revamped Spy School Review

So I wrote this review for Erik's blog, and I think it was at my blog at a time, but I'd deleted it, so anyway, here is the new version of the Spy School review. If you haven't seen the old one: good. It's soo bad. Summary: Benjamin Ripley, a 12 year old living your average middle school life is being recruited for a science academy, secretly a spy school. Oh it's just another typical recruitment with a top-notch spy appearing in your living room after a long day of school. Ben has a "cryptography" skill and even though he bombs his SACSA's (basically a pre-assesement in self-preservation) he's kept in the school because of his "talent" for cryptography. Along the way he meets Erica Hale- the most beautiful girl he's ever seen, the best student in spy school's history, and a legacy (she's even related to all time spy legend Nathan Hale) But the introverted isolated Erica reaches out to Ben and reveals he has no skill whats

The two year anniversary of my shout out is today!

By the way this was supposed to be posted 5 days ago, but I only remembered I wrote it until now. Two years ago I made a blog, and like two weeks later Stuart Gibbs the man the myth the legend gave me a shout out on his blog (Which you can see right  here !) Some cool book facts about Stuart Gibbs two years ago: The Space Case series had yet to begin Spy School wasn't a NY bestseller It was common for his posts to have less than (sadly) ten replies (Today's have anywhere from 60 to more than 200!) Poached, his fourth book with Simon and Schuster had just come out Other random facts include: Victoria Aveyard's Red Queen was half a year from being released The Iphone 6 hadn't been released The fourth book in the Divergent Series Four  and The blood of Olympus  had months before they were released. It's been a crazy two years. I went from 60 views to more than 8000. I just love how during those two years, the popularity of Stuart Gibbs rocketed. N
