About This Blog & FAQ (The Old About Me Version)
Hello! If you're reading this, you've come across my blog in some way, and thanks so much for using your time to read some great reviews!
My name is Justin and I reside in Texas. I love books, specifically those written by Stuart Gibbs, and he alone inspired me to review books. As the title says, I simply talk books. Fiction is my favorite genre, but currently I am branching out into other genres.
I didn't like reading at first. I was that kid who would read short 20 page nonfiction books for my weekly assignment of reading one book. Then I found a book called Playing With Fire by Bruce Hale. Similar to Spy School, it's about a kid who goes into an orphanage only to find out that it's secretly a school for kid spies. They have to stop LOTUS for destroying the world and the trilogy is very enjoyable. Turns out I love spy fiction and when I saw a book that said Spy Camp by some dude named Stuart Gibbs, I gave it a shot. And I loved it. It was action-packed and just amazing. I started reading his other books, then other authors, than started to collect his books, then other authors, and boom, here we are today.
FAQ:
What's Your Favorite Book?
Jeez You're killing me. I really can't choose just one. Sorry.
Ok, it's cool. Well what's your favorite author?
By a landslide...Stuart Gibbs! For comparison, On a scale of 1-10, my second favorite author- Tommy Greenwald- is a solid 9. Stuart Gibbs? About a 135.
Jeez. You sure do love him. What's your favorite series, since you can't decide on a favorite book?
The Spy School series. If the scale of 1-10 was on a piece of paper, my third favorite series: CJJ guide to not reading would be somewhere in Boston. The FunJungle series would be near Pluto. The Spy School series is where Zan Perfonic and her neighbors are.
How much do you read per day?
If I'm really bored and nothing is being uploaded on YouTube (from my favorite channels), about 4 hours, maybe five. The average day I'd say is around 2-2.5 hours.
How do you stay sane reading for a good chunk of the day?
Well first of all, I don't just read to impress an author or just for this blog. I read because I love literature. Also, I like to listen to music that fits the type of book, so I'll put on a Mission Impossible soundtrack for Spy School, or a silly soundtrack for a book like I Funny.
It'd be really cool to get a shoutout for 150 people to see every day. How do I get one?
Comment in any one of my posts. I love to hear feedback from fans. I'll give you a shoutout.
