Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Make Money: Naked Cow Jumping Anyone?

I know I'm kind of late on making this post, but finally here it is! This is the latest book in the Charlie Joe Jackson series, written by Tommy Greenwald. While economics is mostly boring guys on the news talking about the stock market (how many people truly care if that pizzeria down the street is down 14.25 cents?) Greenwald turns it into a laughingstock in this hilarious, soon to be an award-winning book! Summary: The Botman craze is sweeping around school. After Eliza Collins (the 'hottest' girl in school and the same person who has a crush for Charlie Joe) shows off the latest tech gadget of the year, Charlie decides he needs one. The only problem? The cost 200 dollars a pop. Frustrated, he turns to his best friend who happens to be a girl (not girlfriend) who suggests a dog-walking business, considering his strong affection for dogs. His desperate need for a Botman turns into one heck of a ride, involving some old' dudes MacBook Pro, kidnapping squirrels, and j...

Evil Spy School: Legitimately, one of the better books of 2015

Today is a day that will go down in history. April 21, 2015- after a long year of waiting, the sequel to Spy Camp is out! I woke up at 5 in the morning and read the whole day to get the book finished, and I was glad I did. If you have any doubts of getting it, don't, it's totally worth the eleven dollars. Summary: Ben, who is back from Spy Camp, gets expelled from Spy School, when a live bomb is planted in a mortar, and Ben shoots it right at the Principal's office. Middle school is boring, until he gets sprung. By SPYDER. They've sent one of the higher-ups to get Ben to come to Evil Spy School, which happens to be disguised as a science school as well. Ben, who has figured out that he's been sent as a mole, jumps right on board, only to find that the CIA has no idea of this. Evil Spy School is awesome; there is a huge rec room, a room 10x larger than the one at Spy School, and the food is amazing. But he realizes SPYDER is up to no good, and he has to stop them. ...

Belly Up: The Start of A New Era

WooHoo! Hyped for the release of Evil Spy School, which is coming out in 2 days! So to pay homage to Stuart Gibbs, I've decided to re-do a review on his first book ever: Belly Up. This is the beginning of an award-winning author who made such a humble start. Tomorrow, I will plan to do a Spy School review, the first book in the Spy School series. Summary: Teddy thinks FunJungle is as fun as a piece of moldy bread. Everything there is lame, there are so many rules, he just wishes he could have more excitement. And then his wish comes true. Henry Hippo is caught dead, floating belly up in his pool. He goes along with the crowd, assuming he just ate some trash that a careless guest threw into his mouth and doesn't think much of it. Until he makes the worst decision of his life, and decides to sneak into the autopsy of the beloved hippo. There he learns that Henry Hippo could have been murdered. It makes sense to him; most of the FunJungle employees, right up to the founder J.J. ...

Upcoming Awesome Book Releases You Guys Should Check Out

Woo! Today's a small post because I plan to do a Belly Up review (a way better one than my first one  here ) And on Tuesday, I plan to do an Evil Spy School review! That's right, I'm going to work my butt off reading it the day it comes out even though I have a huge standardized state test that day just so I can crank out a review on one of the best books in 2015 (well until Big Game comes out) Evil Spy School is going to come out Tuesday April 21, as well as paperback Poached which I plan to buy. Stuart Gibbs himself tweeted that paperback Poached will have a sneak peek preview of Big Game (the first chapter) and I plan on giving that whole story to you guys as well. Be sure to mark April 21 on your calenders, it's going to be a day you won't forget!

Hoot: Action, Adventure, Excitement, and...Pancakes?

I've always been a big Stuart Gibbs fan, so when he said "Carl Hiassen's books are pretty good" I figured I would try them. For some reason I kept procrastinating until just recently, when i checked it out from my local library. At first, the book slightly confused me, but after that I fell in love with it. Summary: While getting bullied on a bus ride to school, Roy notices a boy, with no shoes on, running like the wind. His curiosity gets the best of him and the next day he chases after him. After an encounter with snakes and a golf ball, he wonders who this mysterious boy is, the thought in his mind through the school day. Then Beatrice enters in. The soccer girl suddenly helps him with a lot of things, especially the truth about the boy. Roy learns that he's trying to save the pancake house from destroying the owl's home. Chaos ensues in this exciting book when Roy encounters policemen sleeping on the job, an actress dressed as an old lady, and getting hi...

Today's Thanks Goes to: HMS

HMS stands for Hillwood Middle School, and I couldn't be more grateful to go to such a better school. The teachers are awesome, our library is huge, and *GASP* the food actually isn't that bad. But seriously though, Hillwood is awesome. All the teachers really help you whenever you need anything, our school stays fun with exciting fundraisers and pep rallies, and our library has so many books it would take years to read them all. I love you guys at Hillwood!

OMG Im Back!

Wow! I'm shocked by the fact that I got 800 views even though i was dormant for 7 months. Hey everybody! I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in ages. Middle School totally caught me by surprise (especially the homework) and I was busy writing my own book that I haven't had the time to blog. I've also noticed a few things about past posts. They seemed to be very bland. There was no life: just a quick summary and my thoughts. So, I've decided to revamp the blog, and make it better. First off, I'm going to start to include pictures of the covers, because we all judge books by their cover. I'm going to stop acting like every book is perfect, and start giving them some criticism (not too much, but it's what us critics have to do) I'm also going to make the blog more user-friendly, and I plan to post once a day. That's right ONCE A DAY. Most of the time, it's going to be book updates, a link to a survey, but at least once a week, if not more, a ...
